PRE-CHRISTMAS BOSTIC VISIT

Travis' parents and our nephew Zarius came to visit the week before Christmas.  We had a great time with them and are glad they could make the trip right before Christmas.  While they were here, we rented a cabin in Nederland for a couple nights so we could ski Eldora (the mountain just outside of Nederland).  We had never been to Eldora before and the forecast was calling for snow, so we were stoked.  And snow, it did!  The night we got up to the cabin it started snowing around 7pm.  It didn't stop until around 11am the next day.  We woke up to over a foot of fresh powder!!!  The mountain, itself, got 14+ inches.  Being the responsible aunt and uncle that we are, we thought it would be funnest safest for Zarius to take a lesson.  All kidding aside here, we really did think it was the best call.  Zarius got to be in a class with licensed professionals teaching him to snowboard with kids his age.  Annnnd, we got to go rage the backside of Eldora.  It was a win-win.  It was an epic day and one I'm sure we'll never forget.  The next day, Travis and Zarius built a jump outside the cabin and had some more fun.  We had a great, relaxing time the whole week.  Lots of snowboarding, sitting by a wood stove, good food and let's not forget the countless games of UNO!  Here are some pics to re-cap:

We took Zarius to Cheesman Park, and then to Ruby Hill to practice snowboarding before going to the big mountains.
He was a natural!
Rome sitting by the fire at the cabin
Yoga session before heading up to the slopes
Rome even joined in on "Cat and Cow" pose
Zarius ragin' it down the mountain (notice the POWDER)!
And anyone's first day on the mountain wouldn't be complete without a Scorpion (aka nose-dive).
Teething Boy!
Mommy and Rome watching the action from the window (see Travis through the window?)
Travis and Z catching some air on the jump they made (Zarius hit him with a snowball in the 1st pic)
Rome's already itchin' to be wear the action is.  Gonna be just like Daddy!
The Bostic Fam
How did I know that Travis would be the first one to use the "boo-boo" bunny?!?  We think he broke his pinky on one of the jumps...it looks pretty bad!
