I'm so glad we ended up making the trip back to Illinois for my Grandma's (Rome's Great-Grandma) surprise 80th birthday party. We had so much fun spending time with family and Rome met so many new cousins for the first time (too many to count). The party was a success and Grandma was sincerely surprised. There were close to 100 people there...just a small testament to how loved she is! We would never be able to return the favor that she provides to us every single Sunday. This woman has been making Sunday dinner for her entire family (around 30 people, usually) every single Sunday after church for the past 30+ years. She starts cooking every Saturday and doesn't rest until all the dishes are (hand-washed) Sunday evening. I don't know how she does it! Perhaps that is where I got my love for entertaining with food (although my cooking could never compare ;). Happy Birthday, Grandma...we love you!!!
Welcome to our blog. We are currently a family of 4 - myself, my husband Travis, our new son Rome and our dog Nollie. I went through numerous ideas for a blog title. Yes, I'm poking fun at the Duggars! We really only intend to have 2 kids (maybe 3). Another title I considered was "Two Kids and Stopping" ;). I thought I would start a blog to keep track of our life happenings, most recently the birth of our son, Rome. Stay tuned to watch this love grow...
